My name is Benjamin Newcomer. Hello. I’m a student, a soccer player, a runner, a scientist, and a teenager. Soccer has been my sport for eight years. I’m a senior going on my fifth year of high school soccer, two years on jv and two on varsity.

Outside of soccer I run. I’ve run the Peachtree road race (most popular 10k in the world) a couple times; I run recreationally; it’s in my genes. When I’m not exercising, I’m probably doing homework. Some people are embarrassed to be nerds, but I wear it proudly. I make lame science jokes all day.

So far I’ve covered two major parts of me, soccer and science. Next is music. If I were a genre, I’d be late nineties, early 2000s hip-hop and its inspiration: Louis Armstrong, Aretha Franklin, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Eminem, POS, etc. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, but I love… pretty much everything: Vampire Weekend, Bright Eyes, Guster, Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, B.o.B, Bob Dylan, Broken Bells, Bruno Mars, Coconut Records, Common Market, Dan Black, Florence and the Machine, Fort Minor, Goo Goo Dolls, Jasoooon Derulooo, Jedi Mind Tricks, KiD CuDi, Lupe Fiasco, Mumford & Sons, Nas, OneRepublic, Passion Pit, T.I., Wiz Khalifa, Yo-Yo Ma, Zac White just to name a few.

I watch the Daily Show kind of a lot. I am going to vote in the 2012 election, so I guess I’ll have to watch legitimate news, too.

I have a lot of strong opinions.

I’m Ben. I’m 87.356% gay. Shoot me an email sometime. bradrobertben@gmail.com
