I don’t mean to post up ads on this blog, but we have been given the opportunity of propagating two programs for gay athletes and gay youth in general. Read on to find out about Team D.C. scholarships and WeTV’s new show.
I received this email from Bud Rorison explaining a scholarship oppurtunity for gay youth in the D.C. area: “My name is Bud, and I am helping out an organization called Team DC- an umbrella organization for the many gay sports clubs in the Washington DC metro area. Team DC gives scholarships each year to gay scholar-athletes in the DC area.” Here is their website and here is the scholarship page. Bud also sent us a brochure with the most up-to-date info. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you a copy.
Here’s WEtv’s new show:
WEtv Casting Teens and Families in Conflict
WEtv is seeking teens and their families for a new TV series based in Southern California. In particular we are looking for families struggling with different parent-teen issues like bullying, sexuality, addiction, weight issues etc. During the course of the show we will provide each family with counseling and follow them on their journey. Each selected family will receive a $2000 financial honorarium and 6 to 8 weeks of aftercare.
