Mind is racing –
Where do I begin?

Hopeless Desire

Steady as the stars and the moon,
I swim in an ocean filled of my past –
And I don’t know what goes through my mind
in this bay of undesirable mistakes.
Mind plagued by a disease,
Nothing to wring my sleeves of my
– Blind wrath –
“Unwelcome,” they yell –
No patience yielded
– But they yell,
“UNWELCOME!”
Cold words pierce my heart like the first winter frost,
and I am cast away beyond the confines of fear.

Figured I’d post the rest of my journal entries on here gradually.

Darkness Within

With haunting eyes
you stalk my every move –

You smile when I smile,
and frown when I frown,
but lately all I’ve felt is down –

Eyes brown as the dirt you laid me down on,
Piercing like the animals that slither and slay on.
Down, down, I dig
A ditch for my body,
My soul, my last breath
My Death.

When all is too late,
I realize that those haunting eyes -

It has come to that time where I feel that this blog should be retired. It will stay up however the three of us have chosen to move in different directions and we sincerely thank you all for reading over the past 19 months. Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible.

All-Star Game

While my High School season didn’t end particularly the way I’d hoped for at state, I was however given the chance to play in the Tennessee All-Star game. The West Team, (From Memphis through Nashville) plays against the East team (beyond Nashville) and hasn’t won an All-Star game for 3 years. This year would be different – I was selected as one of 5 defenders to play and start in the Tennessee All-Star game and I wouldn’t let this opportunity go to waste. I scored the first goal off a corner kick in the 30th minute of the game and later helped hold a 2-1 lead for 30+ minutes in the final half to seal the victory for the West!

STATE-BOUND

Won our Regional Final 4-0! We leave for Nashville on Monday for State. Last year we finished in the semi-finals – this year, we’re going big. And I know for a fact that we can wrap up each game with any of the state-finalists!

I think because I’m still young and I’m still going through life at a hectic speed I haven’t had time to sit down and think about who I am lately but recently I met a girl who I have strong feelings for – maybe it’s nothing or maybe it’s something – either way, I know that I have no clue who I am still and it’s something that really makes me wonder why me?

From what I have heard from my elders it seems to be a life-long process and so while I’m ahead of the curve I’m going to just do me –

College? No more High School? To say I’m excited is an understatement. I graduate on Sunday (4 days earlier than those in my HS) with all the athletes going to state!

Am I ready to move on to the next part of my life? Hell yes I am. Even though the past 4 years were awesome, I’m pretty sure the change of scenery is long overdue. I’ve been looking forward to this moment since the 3rd day of freshman year and it’s only grown more intense over the 144 weeks of school after that. And the day finally comes, on Mother’s day even – Two of the most important holidays of my life landing on the same day – crazy.

Looking forward to playing soccer at the collegiate level and including you guys in every part of it.

PS – we lost 2 – 1 tonight so we play the #1 team from district 16 on tuesday which is win or go home. I’ll keep you guys in the loop so bear with me.

What Fuels Me

Earlier today my Mom came across a note addressed to myself and my parents in the mail that was unsigned and on a half-piece of paper. In a summary it stated something along the lines of, “your parents are cunts,” and, “your son is a faggot.” Now while this piece of paper was unsigned, I had an idea of who sent it to me.

This is a letter to you: Thank you for giving me the fuel I need to drive me to higher heights. Without you I would not have a reason to fight against the ignorance you so clearly exemplify. You should know that calling me names won’t get a reaction but calling my parents out will. This is my family. Leave them out of whatever you still think is there (even though we don’t talk any more and I have stated you have no right to be in my life any more.) I’ve talked this over with my parents and they have said there is no reason to go through with giving your letter to your mom and exposing your immaturity and petty nature – however I will let you know this – If you ever call my family out again, be prepared for a lawsuit. (Oh yeah, forgot to tell you that putting that letter in my mail-box is, indeed, against the law – especially since we have you on camera.)
